Pharmacogenomics and Individual Therapy Research - F. Innocenti - 20161026
This lecture provides information on the advances in pharmacogenomic screening and its implication to clinical research and practice. The presentation reviews the use of genomics in clinical trials, determining the clinical utility of a genetic test, use of somatic DNA screening for drug therapy outside of oncology, and precision dosing of medications within oncology. Learning Outcomes: -Describe advances in screening for somatic mutations in tumor DNA. -Identify implications of somatic DNA screens for drug therapy outside of oncology. -Discuss precision dosing of cancer drugs. This lecture was presented as part of the Medical and Surgical Oncology Lecture Series.
