This lecture will discuss and compare the various methods of breast imaging for screening and diagnostic assessment. The speaker will also explain the image finding characteristic of each major molecular subtype of breast cancer and their targeted therapies. Learning Outcomes: • Explain the benefits & limitations of 2D & 3D mammography, whole breast ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging - individually and when used in combination. • Compare & contrast the imaging findings characteristic of each major molecular subtype of breast cancer. • Recognize the importance of the molecular classification of breast cancer with targeted therapies and overall survival outcome. This lecture was presented as a part of the Medical and Surgical Oncology Lecture Series.
